When: September 27-28, 2007; Registration and breakfast start at 7:30 a.m. Our meeting will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27th and ending at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28th.

Lodging: Four Points Sheraton; For reservations attendees CALL 559-230-8493, and ask for the “American Society of Safety Engrs” group rate. The hotel room rate is $110 per day plus 12% tax.

This rate is only available until Thursday, September 13 2007, so be sure to make your reservations today!

Cost of Meeting, Refreshments & Lunches:

A fee of $95.00 will be collected from each meeting attendee to cover the cost of a full buffet breakfast each morning (eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat, pancakes, breakfast pastries, cold cereal and fruit), buffet lunch, afternoon snack and meeting room expenses associated with this ROC meeting. There are two ways to pay this fee:

By Check: Please bring a check to cover this fee with you. The check should be made payable to: ASSE – Region One. Mary Silva, Region One Treasurer will collect your checks and provide you with a receipt on Thursday, September 27th. The ROC meeting fees vary from meeting to meeting depending on the expenses encountered at each meeting site. We will be serving a Continental Breakfast at this meeting.

  1. Go to www.paypal.com
  2. Select the "Send Money" tab located at the top of the PayPal page.
  3. Log into your existing account, or create one.
  4. Enter msilva@castlecooke.com in the “Email Recipient” address line.
  5. Enter $99.00 in the “amount” box”. The extra $4.00 covers the PayPal processing fee.
  6. Select “Service” in the “Category of Purchase” box. If you select “cash”, your bank will charge a transaction fee of approximately $25.00.
  7. Enter “Region I Meeting Sept 2007” in the “Email Subject” box.
  8. Enter your name and chapter affiliation in the “Note” box, to ensure that we recognize your advanced payment. Failure to provide this information will cause us to invoice you for the meeting fee.

Thursday Night: Stay tuned for more information coming from the Central Valley Chapter on a group outing/dinner.

Weekend Activities: Please refer to a separate e-mail on behalf of Gil Bustos, Central Valley Chapter.

During your visit to Fresno, you will be less than an hour away from the entrance to one of the most beautiful places on earth: Yosemite National Park. The Central Valley Chapter would like to coordinate a caravan trip to YNP for Saturday, September 29. However, we need to know how many ROC attendees will be interested in such a trip. Since this will be a caravan, expenses should only be for gas and meals.

Additional Information:

Airport: It is best to fly into the Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT). The hotel is only about 5 miles from the airport.

Transportation between the Hotel and the Airport: The Hotel provides free transportation to/from the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Just pick up the courtesy phone at baggage claim. The hotel van will be there in approximately 10 minutes.
